NICU nurse, twin mama, and your go-to guide for peaceful sleep routines and confident parenting. After years of supporting my friends, family members and patients, through the earliest and most tender moments of life, I created BabySleepRx to bring the same level of compassionate, high-quality care into your home!

Your baby is telling you they’re tired!
These signals are called sleep cues
Common sleep cues include:
Red eye brows, yawning, zoning out, fussiness, turning away.
Catching cues early = easier naps + less crying.
Sleep doesn’t have to be a struggle 🤍

Wake windows explained simply:
A wake window starts when your baby opens their eyes.
Not when you pick them up.
Feeding, diaper changes, playtime — it ALL counts
Start naps before the window ends for smoother sleep ✨

Consistency is the foundation of newborn sleep 🤍
Not perfection. Not strict schedules. Consistency.
When you show your baby the same calm routine again and again, their nervous system learns what to expect — and that feels safe.
Safe babies sleep better.
Those tiny, consistent moments you’re showing up for today?
They’re building longer naps, smoother nights, and calmer days ahead. ✨
You’re doing important work, mama.

Around this age, babies go through what we call the 4-month sleep regression, which is actually a permanent developmental shift in how your baby sleeps. Your baby’s sleep cycles are maturing and becoming more like an adult’s, meaning they are waking more frequently between cycles and noticing HOW they fell asleep. If rocking was the way they drifted off before, it makes sense that they now look for it again when they wake.
On top of that, many babies also experience a HUGE growth spurt around 4 months. Growth spurts can cause increased hunger, fussiness, shorter naps, and more night wakings. This doesn’t mean sleep training isn’t working—it means your baby’s body and brain are doing a lot of growing all at once.
I want you to know first and foremost that what you’re feeling is so normal. Sleep training—especially around 4 months—can bring up a lot of anxiety, particularly when your baby is used to being rocked to sleep. You’re not doing anything wrong, and your baby is not being harmed. You are gently teaching a new skill, and it’s okay that this feels emotional 🤍
I’ve recently finalized my 4-month sleep regression (Babysleeprx style) to help so many of you struggling with this! Check out my Infant Sleep Reset Package on the Home page!
